You are now able to use the SSID and Passphrase to accesses your WiFi network. Once the changes have been applied you will be directed back to the “Wireless Setup” display, from here you can now “Logout”. Once you click “Apply” a loading screen will appear to indicate the changes are being applied. Once you have entered the information, you will need to click “Apply” located in the top/middle portion over the screen. SSID is the name of the network, commonly known as the username while the passphrase is the password that you will need to enter on all devices trying to connect to the network. In this display you will be able to set up or change the “Name (SSID)” and “Passphrase” to the “Wireless Network (2.4GHz b/g/n)” and the “Wireless Network (5GHz a/n/ac)” The screen in front of you will show fields for SSID and passphrase. You will then be directed to the “Wireless Setup” display. To accesses your WiFi SSID and passphrase you can click on either the “Wireless” tab or “Wireless” button highlighted below. Note: The user name is admin and the default password is password. In the router login window, enter your user name and password. Your routers instructions should include this information, but some of the most common addresses include 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, and 192.168.2.1. Using your web browser, enter the routers default IP address into the address bar, then press Enter. Verify that the web address you entered is correct and proceed to the router login window. This includes setting a unique name and password for your wireless network. Note: Your browser might warn you that the connection is not secure. Type or into your web browser’s address bar. Popular web browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge.
Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router’s network. The line that says Default gateway is your router’s IP address and its second-to-last digit is the. Run cmd.exe from the Start menu, type ipconfig, and press Enter. Connect to the regular router (A) using WiFi. The picture below is of a Comporium NETGEAR router, however, these instructions will work for all models of NETGEAR routers.
